Shade Grown

Indian coffee estates grow their plants beneath a canopy of native trees. This shade slows the growth of the coffee cherry, allowing it to develop greater depth of flavour, denser beans, and a natural sweetness that is unmistakable in the cup.

India's famous monsoon winds pass over our green beans during the processing stage — a technique unique to India. This natural exposure gives Indian coffee its characteristic smooth body, low acidity, and earthy richness that Coffee lovers have prized for centuries.

Hand-Picked, Cherry by Cherry

Only fully ripe, red cherries are selectively harvested by experienced pickers. This selective picking - done entirely by hand - ensures that only the best beans make it into your order. It is slow, careful work, and it shows in the quality.

Our coffee carries a Geographical Indication (GI) Tag - India's equivalent of Champagne's appellation or Scotch Whisky's protected designation. The GI Tag means: The coffee originates from a verified, specific region in India. It meets strict quality standards defined by the Coffee Board of India. The geographic origin is legally protected -no other region can replicate or copy this identity. You receive 100% authentic Indian coffee, not a blend masquerading as one. Just as Champagne can only come from Champagne, France, and Parmigiano-Reggiano can only come from Parma, our GI Tagged coffee carries the full legal and reputational weight of a protected origin.
